1) Key Stage 3 Benchmarking Data 2012

Thank you to the 64 middle schools who have contributed data this year. This has enabled us to compile data on over 7,000 pupils who were in their final year at middle school in July 2012.

The schools contributing data should have received the final version of the full school level data directly from me by email – if this has not happened then please contact me.

Summary tables and charts which enable you to compare your own school’s data with the overall averages from all the contributing schools are available to download from the NMSF website. Please click this link:

2) International Links

Margaret Mulcahy, a middle years educator in Sydney, Australia and a member of the Management Team of the Australian Middle Year of Schooling Association (MYSA) recently visited two of our middle schools as part of her Churchill Fellowship Middle Years project.

She has completed a blog recording her observations which you may find an interesting read:

Thank you to Walkwood C of E Middle School and Biggleswade Academy Trust, Holmemead Middle School for inviting her to visit their schools.
