The New Ofsted Framework and Middle Schools

Special Day Conferences 2012

There was a great deal of interest in the presentation by Frank Norris, HMI, about the new Inspection Framework at our conference in October.

We are delighted that Ofsted have worked with the Steering Committee to arrange two day conferences in February which will provide an opportunity to continue this dialogue.

Hear a presentation about the New Inspection Framework by Gill Jones HMI, Principal Officer, Framework Development, Maintained Primary Schools, and Ofsted.

There will then be an opportunity for middle school leaders to develop their thinking about

·         The new Ofsted Framework for inspection and its implications for middle schools

·         Systems for tracking pupil progress in middle schools

·         Ways of demonstrating progress from the point of entry to the final year of middle school

·         The implications for school’s self evaluation systems

We have been able to keep the cost to a minimum in the hope that this will enable schools to consider sending two delegates – a deputy head or chair of governors for example.
